Kurita pointed out that so far the production line of Mitsubishi XFORCE and Mitsubishi Xpander is the same, so it is relatively easy to adjust according to market demand. Furthermore, Kurita believes his party is confident that PT MMKI is capable of meeting production capacity, even if it has to increase the target to 30,000 units per year.
At the same occasion, PT MMKI President Director Minoru Saito said that production capacity will be very flexible for both domestic and export markets following consumer demand.
He said, “If export demand increases, we will increase production.” Therefore, our factory is very flexible according to market needs. “The current production of Mitsubishi XFORCE is 5,000 units per month with a balanced ratio between domestic and export markets,” he said.
