Sales in Brazil for Bloomin’ Brands Holding, which owns the Outback Steakhouse, Abrácio and Australian brands in the country, rose 7.3% in the first nine months of 2023 compared with the same period in 2022. In the third quarter, the increase was 4.1%.
In the process of expansion, Bloomin’ Brands in Brazil invested approximately R$90 million to open 16 new Outback units in 2023, creating more than a thousand new jobs and bringing the total to 155 restaurants in the country. In Belo Horizonte, there are plans to open an Outback unit in the Diamond Mall Shopping Center and in Contagem, another unit in the Itaú Power Shopping Center.
The company resumed the expansion of Abbrácio, a restaurant inspired by the Italian lifestyle, with two new units in downtown São Paulo and the opening of the first restaurant in São José dos Campos (SP) in December. The Australian brand, whose flagship product is chicken protein, celebrated achieving the milestone of 100 delivery operations in the country in 2023.
“We are excited about this third quarter’s results. Despite the macroeconomic challenges faced over the past year, such as rising inflation and changing consumption patterns, the company has performed well, maintaining a leading position for Bloomin’ Brands internationally. Performance presented. Business”, comments Mauro Guardabassi, President of Bloomin’ Brands in Brazil.
